This is a huge step forward – greater participation of Polish companies in global supply chains, development of know-how and new jobs in the country. This is also great news for #LocalContent – Polish companies are actively preparing to participate in the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Poland.

FAMAK S.A. and Mostostal Kraków S.A., as the first of six domestic entities selected by Westinghouse Electric Company, have successfully completed the first stage of adaptation to the quality requirements of the NQA-1 standard.

The process involved the development of procedures in 18 areas – from quality assurance and documentation supervision to equipment control. The next stage is the implementation of the developed solutions and employee training. The final task within the certification process will be the construction of a mock-up of the nuclear island.

Each certified Polish company means a greater share of domestic enterprises in global supply chains, knowledge and technology transfer, and a boost to the national economy. It also means new jobs and the development of competences at an international level.
