On 4 March 2026, during the ‘Atomic Opportunities’ conference organised by Polish Nuclear Power Plants, six Polish companies signed a strategic agreement on cooperation, exchange of knowledge and experience, sharing of resources, joint creation of research teams, innovative projects, and technological and business consulting.
The companies Mostostal Kraków S.A. (represented by Members of the Management Board – Paweł Śmigla and Kacper Jaskot), Mostostal Kielce S.A. (represented by Krzysztof Rusiecki, President of the Management Board), Mostostal Siedlce Sp. z o.o. (represented by Tomasz Borzęcki, Vice-President of the Management Board), Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia S.A. (represented by Tomasz Szymczak, Vice-President of the Management Board of the Baltic Industrial Group), FAMAK S.A. (represented by Leszek Zagórski, President of the Management Board, and Marek Boron, Commercial Director and Proxy), ZAKŁAD KONSTRUKCJI SPAWANYCH FERRUM S.A. (represented by Krzysztof Kasprzycki – President of the Management Board) have been involved for several years in the process of building key competencies and developing teams responsible for participation in the nuclear energy supply chain, and cooperate in this area with Westinghouse Electric Poland. The signed document is the result of building a strong position for Polish companies and a partnership that will allow them to operate more effectively in future nuclear projects. The aim of the cooperation is to exchange key experiences during the implementation of nuclear programmes in individual companies and to streamline logistics and procurement processes, thereby maximising the participation of Polish companies not only in the construction of the first Polish nuclear power plant, but also in projects implemented in Europe. The exchange of experience and data on safety, nuclear culture, protection and quality assurance will significantly increase operational efficiency and contribute to the improvement of global safety culture. As emphasised by the companies signing the agreement, these activities will increase the competitiveness of Polish enterprises, among other things by reducing the costs of work and optimising resources. Ultimately, these activities may translate into the optimisation of the milestones set out in the nuclear power plant construction schedule.

The supplier qualification process in accordance with the American NQA-1 standard is very demanding, requiring time, resources and solid preparation. The signed agreement will allow teams responsible for nuclear projects in individual companies to share tips and experiences and jointly seek the best solutions. The signed agreement shows that, in the case of such important projects, local Polish companies are able to cooperate at the highest level, consistently pursuing a common and overarching goal, which is to achieve the largest possible share in the construction of the Lubiatowo-Kopalino power plant. From the perspective of Poland’s energy and strategic security, this is a key activity that will translate into the acquisition of new know-how, the development of necessary skills on the market, the development of the above-mentioned companies and the creation of new jobs.

The selection of companies to support the construction of the Lubiatowo-Kopalino power plant requires thoughtful action and the creation of partnerships in this demanding and ambitious project, which is the only one of its kind in Poland, as evidenced by this agreement.
Further plans envisage continued cooperation between the companies and the investor in the Pomeranian nuclear project in the area of developing human resources in the nuclear sector through the development of industry-specific and engineering education, which will enable the creation of a strong, qualified and practically prepared team of specialists in the field of nuclear energy.
